Davie Nails

Stay far away from this place! I moved and was looking for a new place to get my nails done. My regular manicurist recommended this place. Keep in mind my regular guy has done my nails for a long time and he is wonderful, very accommodating and friendly. I went in last week after waiting way too long for my fill. They were rude right off the bat but instead of leaving, I decided to give them the a try.....after all everyone has bad days ,right? WRONG! They dont know what they are doing! Not only did the lady drill the crap out of my cuitcles ( until they bled) I had to argue weather I wanted acrylic or gel! OK anyone ever see Angelah Johnson and her manicure expierce.....enough said but multiplied by 100%
To top it off with 1 your of leaving the polish (simple french manicure) started talking and literally turned yellow! All my nails looked like a put a yellow glaze over the top and flaked in layers! I work a lot of hours and I just moved....this was supposed to be a treat after waiting over 3 weeks to get my nails done. Just a friendly warning...stay far away from this place. Over priced, bad service, finished product was horrible and they need to go back to school for their craft.

The employees were very nice but extremely hard to understand. Otherwise, everything else is downhill from here. I've had a couple of manicures done before but I acrylics done this time instead. they came out beautiful but I feel that my fingernails were being dremmeled to death! There are still pretty sore after about two days. (That could be normal but I don't know) I thought I would at least have my fingernails soaked in some warm water to help get the cuticles cut off but instead it was dremmeled off. And I did not feel that I had a clean towel that the lady was using on my hands. And no hand massage or lotion (once again that could just be with the manicure but spending so much on the acrylics I thought I would get that). In my experience, I don't go to the nail salon very often but when I do its very enjoyable but this time I did not feel very pampered at all and will be going somewhere else to get my nails done.

I've given this salon 3 chances (that's 3 times too many) and each tech has been rude. But it gets much worse. My nails were done a week ago and she drilled the cuticles/skin so badly that they're still tender and red. I also fear they do not practice safe sterilizing techniques and God only knows what I might have been exposed to. If all this isn't bad enough, I got ringworm on my palms that took several weeks to get rid of (by finally using Lamisil). I did some research online and this salon has violated nearly every cosmetology law. Needless to say, I won't be going back, nor will I ever patronize another discount nail salon ever again. It's not worth the price you pay in other ways (namely your health). I'll start going to reputable salons and pay double so I can have healthier nails and peace of mind.
