General Info

Awtrey Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, social studies, mathematics and science. The school additionally conducts classes in music and health and physical education. Awtrey Middle School has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, football and cheerleading. It organizes various events, including guest speakers, field trips, Science Olympiad competitions and science fairs. The school has beta, bowling, multicultural, art and broadcasting clubs. In addition, it has a media center that features more than 15 computer stations and has a collection of magazines, fiction and nonfiction books and reference materials. It also supports several clubs and organizations that include the National Honor Society and student council. Awtrey Middle School is located in Kennesaw, Ga., and is a part of the Cobb County School District.
