My uncle just got work done by them a month or so ago. Uncle Joe was in awe at the quality and even more so by the price. If i move to Indiana I would reccomend it to everyone I knew that needed a talented and skillful business. On behalf of my Uncle guys, thanks for the A+ work you did.

WOULDN'T USE TO REPAIR DOG HOUSE

I have never been so upset with a company and their workmanship as I was with Handyman Connection! We hired this company to put in a tub surround, fixtures and exhaust fan in one bathroom, exhaust fan, sink and toilet in another, exhaust fan and new flooring in kitchen. On the very first day I was told that I needed to buy a new tub for the tub surround to look right, even though it was the same tub that was there when the contractor came out to give us the estimate and he NEVER mentioned then that we needed a new tub. The work was only supposed to take 3 days and it took almost a week. The first time the tub surround was put up you could put your hands on the sides and it would almost come off. We called the office to request a supervisor to come out and inspect the work and the supervisor and contractor got into an argument over how the work was to be done, while they were in our home. Holes were cut into the surround that were not correct for the fixtures, meaning that water would leak behind the fixtures. I had to pay another contractor to come out because water was leaking from the tub into the basement and I had no water pressure from the shower head (the new contractor found debris in the shower line/head). The toilet wasn’t secured properly to the floor and almost fell off. There are big “nicks” in the door frame. The exhaust fans are not working properly. The contractor would leave everyday saying that he needed to “go get more parts” and would be gone for 2-3 hours, never once saying what additional parts he needed and never showing me what parts were replaced. I was charged for a pound of roofing nails that Handyman Connection said were necessary for the tub surround; a few, maybe, but a full pound, I DON’T THINK SO! The breaking point came when the contractor told me that I would have to help him move the refrigerator, table and buffet from the kitchen so he could start on the floor. I am a 60 year old woman who has had 5 back surgeries and I was in total shock when he told me that. Nothing was in the estimate/quote that anyone from the household would be responsible to help him do his job. I just wanted the work completed so I did the best I could. When the floor covering was torn moving the items back into the kitchen he blamed it on me and then said he could “patch” it so it would be OK. I told him not to touch another thing, pack his stuff and get out. Craig with the office is no better. He tried to tell me that I didn’t need that type of floor covering in my home anyway. We paid Handyman Connection $1,000.00 up-front plus we paid for all material up-front. Craig only agreed to reimburse us for another piece of kitchen flooring AFTER we purchased the flooring again and submitted him the receipt, and that took forever to get the check from him. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN WOULD I USE HANDYMAN CONNECTION

We are very sorry that this customer had this experience, however from the very moment we found out there was a problem we did everything we could to fix it. Not everything in her complaint is fact either. In fact, after we completed this project she had us do her other bathroom. If a customer was that upset and had that many issues, why would they ask us to complete another bathroom for them. We did the 2nd bathroom and she asked us for yet another estimate for more work. The experience must not have been as horrible as the review states. We sincerely apologize for any negative experience.
