Village Green On Lake St Clair

This is the WORST 'luxury' apartment I have ever lived. I moved in March of 2013 to a FILTHY apartment that I had to clean myself!! The carpets were never cleaned and it was not painted. I was given a small credit for the 50 hrs of cleaning I had to do. Numerous maintenance repairs had to be made including: my roof leaked into my living room (several times), my tub had to be reglazed, my bathroom sink replaced, bedroom window replaced, and the list goes on. My patio has a hole in it but they threw a rug over that and called it good!! The maintenance staff came into my apt. WITHOUT permission and locked my cat in a room with no food or water for 8hrs. The office staff told me they can enter my apartment whenever they want, as it is in my lease. Now onto the snow removal - I take my life into my hands walking to my car everyday as they don't put any salt on the side walks and they don't remove the snow enough so we have a treacherous path of ICE to walk. This is not luxury living - it's HELL! I cannot trust the maintenance staff to make a repair when I am not home so I have a leaky toilet and a leaky sink. I work all day and cannot be here during the hours that they make repairs. I have called and written about the snow/ice removal with no response. Last but not least, my car was broken into during my first three months here. They have a arm (which they call a gate) but they only activate it from 10pm to 7am) and anyone can walk around it. Also, no one requires a code to exit. So what good is it?? I am moving and my best advice to anyone is DONT MOVE IN HERE!!! It's high priced and you are paying for OLD units on the water with an incompetent staff.
