Left my favorite earring to be repaired for a broken post. One year later, and I still haven't got it! Do not entrust anything you cherish or value to Swords. They ship things off to an outside repair shop. A lot can go wrong in that scenario. Were they concerned? No. Offer to compensate my loss? No. Now just ignore me? Yes. Don't risk it.

“I’m sorry you feel like that about your earrings. But when you came in, I think I spoke to you once and I don’t know who else you spoke to, and told you we would do our best to find it. But if you look down in your receipt, it said, right down the about the 3rd line where the charges are, ‘This store is not responsible for articles left over 60 days.’ Now you came in a lot longer after that but it didn’t matter. I’ve looked through everything, OK, and I can’t find the thing at all. I’m sorry you feel that way with all my heart. I really am. We’ve never had this before, and I apologize this happened to you, but I think there’s more than our fault in this. But after 60 days, we scrap things if we can’t get in touch with people like I can’t get in touch with you right now, we scrap things. OK. I’m sorry again with all my heart.”
I went in from the following week after leaving my earring, and often after than and heard every excuse imaginable for the store’s inability to return my property. It’s behind a locked door, can’t use a locksmith, Brother is sick, Brother is out, etc., etc., etc. I left my name & number each time. Never a call back, never a response. Now, “we’ve never had this before”. Shouldn’t you be more concerned? Nope.
The bottom line to Swords? Why, I should have picked it up within the first 60 days!

In my opinion, you need to run away from these people as fast as you can!!! I had multiple issues with some jewelery I bought from here. After talking to the owner on multiple occasions, I felt like I was never going to get anywhere with him. Have had multiple jewelers confirm that I was charged much more than the jewelery is worth. After shopping around at other stores, I believe that you can do better!

I had a similar experience to Frank...I felt like I was treated rudely and disrespectfully!!! It seemed that the owner had know interest in helping make things right. We felt like we were taken advantage of while he smiled and made like he was doing us a favor. I believe there are many better choices out there!!!

I recommend Gary and his staff if you are looking for jewelry. They are so kind and fun to shop with. Excellent customer service.
