Overall
PIAA playoff game

Although I am not a Pine-Richland resident, I did attend the PIAA football game last Friday night, December 3rd, at your varsity field. I, as well as many, many others, was appalled at the conditions at the field. There was absolutely no attention paid to the fans, players, band, or cheerleaders. The bleachers were caked with snow on top of inches of ice, the snow was piled up on the sidelines so the players and coaches had to step over the mounds, getting out of the concession stand was virtually impossible, and walking down the ramps and steps was totally treacherous. I even saw a cheerleader from North Allegheny take a painful looking fall. I was told yesterday that the NA band members had their coats frozen to the bleachers and many of them ripped. What I don't understand is why this was allowed to happen. It was no surprise that the game was to be played at your field. I know your workers get paid very well and they should have been told to get the field ready for 'company'. It was a total disgrace and I am embarrassed for your district and hope others have complained so much so that you will change your ways. The taxpayers pay too much living in your district to have such a huge black mark put on them.

Overall
Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence

Your recent publication under the review title above was very informative and interesting reading; however, I feel that some attention should have been given to the first graduating class of 1958 who recently celebrated their 50-year class reunion. A very nice group photo was taken and could easily have been included in this booklet.

It was a huge transition being separated from our friends at Mars High School and setting the standard in a brand new school with new teachers, curriculum, structure, sports teams, music organization and all associated appurtenances that apply to anything new and different.

I'm sorry some small mention of this class was overlooked because it, too, was a milestone in the history of the Pine-Richland School District.
