Harley Ferrell and his staff are the go to people for anything cabinetry!

For years now we have been living with a HVAC dislodged duct that has overheated or overcooled one room of the house. The duct became separated from the air flow register that is located in the kick board under a Wood-Mode cabinet with no apparent access to the duct.

Harley Ferrell and a staffer went to work on the problem by first following the dislodged duct from the exposed main pipe on the lower level. Gaining access to the inside of the duct he confirmed the duct was in one piece. Looking closely underneath the cabinet he located a small opening just above the kick plate that provided limited access to the duct and could feel that it had been separated from the control register that was covered in part by the kick plate.

With his assistant, on the lower level moving the duct about, Harley was able to blindly align the duct back with the register and then with small pieces of HVAC tape he re-secured the duct to the air flow register. This job took a couple of hours yielding an outstanding result at an exceptionally low price.

I ordered a custom bamboo vanity for my bathroom from this company. The product took longer than expected to complete. Three drawers were stained lighter. The direction of the grain on one of them was not the same as the others. The soft close hardware were of inferior quality. Every time we removed one of the drawers we had a hard time putting it back in place to align with the others. I requested a 1 inch filler and instead I got a 3/4 inch filler which was permanently attached to the cabinet!! When I confronted the owner about this error he not only refused to accept responsibility for this error, but he went on to brag about how he has been doing this for 30 years, and this is how things are done. He ended up producing another .25 part which we affixed at the end to make it a total of 1 inch. The contract stated that the legs would be of stainless steel and 1.5 inch in diameter and adjustable. I really wanted 1 inch legs, but he claimed there aren't any. Instead when I went to inspect the cabinet's progress I saw that they had purchased some ugly 2 inch legs with black bottoms! Those were clearly way too big and did not fit the looks of this cabinet, and I told them I did not want them. In fact those legs were for large glass tables according to the manufacturer, and not for small vanities. I looked online and found adjustable aluminum 1 inch square legs and told him to put those. At the end I was charged extra for those. I had told the owner that I wanted the drawer construction to be good and in fact I specified dovetailed construction. They did produce the drawers dovetailed but they used a 1/4 inch bottom making the drawer bottoms way too fragile and certainly not able to support significant weight. They should have been 1/2 inch bottoms just like their sides!!



Verbal exchanges with the owner are very difficult. He has no tolerance for listening to client complaints and has gone as far as to tell me that he will hung up on me if I continue speaking.. Only after I told my story to one of his employees who came to adjust the drawers (and was unable, so he removed the silencers to make them align) did the owner email me to tell me that he was willing to listen. By then it was too late. I was stuck with a product that had inferior quality slides, two different tones of drawers and fragile bottoms and I did not want to deal any more with a man who refused to accept responsibility for any of his errors. Suffice it to say I will not do business with them again and I do not recommend them. The product is of medium quality, but not up to my expectations, and the owner is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever met, with very low customer service skills.
