Maritta is the 5th therapist who has worked on me. She is far and away the best I've ever had. I have been seeing her for about four years and I always look forward to our sessions. She knows intuitively what needs work. She is always professional and in a positive frame of mind. Just being in her presence makes me feel good. Maritta will offer advice if asked but she does not chatter during the session. Rather, she takes her cues from my behavior. If I want to be quiet she is quiet. If I want to talk, we have amiable conversations. Maritta is a talented and compassionate therapist.

I receive a gift certificate for a therapeutic massage from a good friend as a birthday gift. I had never had a professional therapeutic massage and needless to say, I was a little nervous at first. I had Arthroscopic Surgery on my left knee a number years ago. After physical therapy, my knee still never felt completely healed, and I had a tendency to favor it, trying not to re-injure the knee. Maritta took the time to explain the process of Therapeutic Massage and Deep Tissue Massage along with their health benefits. She also informed me that by favoring my left knee, I had altered my posture and the muscles in my back and legs were strained for compensating for so long. By the time we were half way through the procedure, I was so relaxed that I fell asleep on the table. I awoke feeling great! My legs, back and knees never felt better! I have been seeing Maritta every week for over two years and she is indeed an exceptional massage therapist. Her knowledge is superb. I started seeing her after surgery and physical therapists told me that they'd never be able to get the knots out of my shoulders and back and told me i needed a massage therapist. Luckily i fould Maritta.



For me, she does a blend of sports and deep tissue massage since i am a marathon runner who gets tons of knots in my shoulders and really tight hips and IT band tightness too. She makes a wold of difference after a long run or after a week behind a computer too. She knows lots about many stretches that are beneficial to the body and complementary to physical regimes too.
