        Don't buy Hunter Douglas shades at Epco

        They are the high price provider, but their service doesn't justify the higher price. Recently, my shade broke. Called Epco; they told me it was under warranty, but didn't mention the $40 shipping charge to send it back to Hunter Douglas. Told me it would take 3-4 weeks. Six weeks later, I called back (had to do it twice; if no one is in the shade department, the phone simply disconnects and you cannot leave a message). The shade had apparently arrived two weeks earlier (they didn't admit it, but the shipping label told the story). They didn't bother to open it to see whether it had indeed been fixed. When I insisted, they opened it to find another broken part. They also insisted that they had called me, left message, etc. High prices, lousy service.
