I had the worst spray tan by Cathy on 6-9-16. It was very uneven and very streaked. The owner tried to blame it on me and refused any restitution. I paid $ 35. and $10. tip. I will never go back there.

I have taken my elderly mom to this salon for a year now on a weekly basis. They always are professional, and do a wonderful job with her hair. They listen to her and try and meet her needs each week. We have had to cancel a few times due to health problems and they are always easy to work with and get her in as soon as she is able. Super sweet ladies and a very nice atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone in the area.

Working with Spectra was a nightmare. I was part of a wedding party last week, and the bride selected Spectra to do our hair and make-up. When the ladies arrived at our cabin (late, but that wasn't even a big deal), they were very nice. They did an OK job on everyone's hair (although many of the bridesmaids' styles didn't even last through the ceremony), and the make-up application was good quality.



It wasn't until we went to pay that the issues arose. The quote that they had given us several weeks before the wedding was nowhere near what they were asking us to pay - in fact, in some cases it was actually very close to double. When we asked the lead stylist about this discrepancy, she said that she had sent the wedding coordinator another, completely different quote THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING, after we had all committed to having the services performed. In addition, she also had a third quote with her on a piece of paper (that she showed no one until after the services had already been performed). Just to be clear, all three quotes were different, and progressively more expensive.



The stylist also mentioned that they charge a little more if they have to actually drive to a location, as opposed to services rendered in the salon. That's totally understandable...if the bride's mother had not already given them a $200 travel deposit before they even arrived.



To add insult to injury, the lead stylist who was working on the bride's hair made several comments such as "I don't know what the problem is, I couldn't have been more clear about this" in front of the bride, although several of the bridesmaids had said "We can talk about this in a little while..." to prevent stressing our friend out. She continued to make little comments like that, until we finally asked her to walk outside to discuss the issue.



Finally, the lead stylist came to a compromise to charge us all one price - which, for many of us, was still going to be a good bit more than the original quote. We weren't happy, but we were ready for the problem to go away. I found out a few minutes ago that they are still hounding the bride's mother for more money, although we agreed to their "compromise."



Believe me, brides and bridesmaids, this is NOT the kind of drama you want on your special day.
