Golden Gait Riding Stables

This location and stables are wonderful not to mention the great staff!!!!! all are top notch !!!! the horses are well cared for and I love going there to ride a new adventure every week so put on your boots and go enjoy !!!!!!! You will tell everyone about your experience I have been in customer service
for over 30 years and i can truly say five stars are not enough !!!!

First of all to start STAY AWAY from this place******
This woman has been up to her tricks in the horse business for YEARS, and continues because of unknowing clients. She keeps horses in very poor condition, feeding very cheap nutritionally lacking junk feed,the hay she feeds is junk with sticks, dirt and burrs in it , it is old and lacks any nutritional aspects. We don't think she knows WHAT PROPER nutrition for horses is !! ( Do some reading sometime)
She also has horses on the location that are in poor health, does not properly vaccinate them ,or care for wounds or feet.
Some of these horses are standing in nothing but muck, many stalls are lacking proper bedding OR ANY at all. Some horses are eating their own feces, and the flies are OUT of control, her "fly spray system" is so diluted with water it is useless, or inoperative.
AND the worst part about this is, some of these poor horses BELONG TO HER !!!!
She is also in the business of leasing and selling horses, in which she picks up from unwanteds or scammer buyers THEN resells them to unknowing 1st time horse people, CASHING IN , especially if she can trick them into boarding, and "riding lessons"
DO yourself and your horses a big favor and stay away from this horse shyster, save your money and go to a REPUTABLE stable.

If I could give 0 stars I would. NEVER GO HERE!

Bought a groupon for 4 people to ride. Made the appt for a saturday. Friday night my friend (who was apart of the groupon payment) goes to the hospital. Call stables first thing Saturday morning to reschedule and the lady says in the rudest tone possible, "You know, you guys are already getting a discount and you're just making this so difficult for everyone." I told her I was sorry, we didn't want to cancel, just reschedule,my friend is in the hospital it was an emergency a little sympathy would be nice. Her exact words back to me were, "A lot of things would be nice on my part." I told her that was being very rude and unprofessional and she claimed I only thought she was rude because I wasn't getting what I wanted. Right.... She said she would call me back to reschedule because she was out on a ride. She never called. I called more than once and left messages that day and the next day. She finally called back on Monday. When I spoke to them they were originally very nice and we reset the appt for a later date. Then she asked me how many people were riding so I thought she didn't realize that I was the same person from Saturday with the 4 person groupon. So i said, "There is 4 of us. We had the groupon from this Saturday and we wanted to reschedule with you guys." and her response was, "I know who this is. I don't understand what your problem is you're coming back anyways so what is the problem? Do you want to come here or not? Huh?"

Needless to say, I got my money back. Again, NEVER GO HERE!

I love Golden Gait Riding Stables. I have had only the best time at this facility. The horses are so well taken care of, the people are always great and the surrounding area is so convenient to everything - it's amazing that there is so much open space so close to home with SO much nature!!! I am truly surprised by the previous review from 'joy' because I have only known and seen caring individuals and happy smiles from both Denise (owner), boarders, and anyone who comes for lessons or trail lessons. Denise runs a great business, she is very fair and honest. I just can't imagine her acting in any manner other than kind (unless it's beyond warranted) - I know everyone's experience is always different, but this barn, and it's riders, truly care about all animals and having a good time. It's a fun barn, with great people and lots of smiles. I don't believe I would go riding anywhere else, locally.

I have been to many barns and my favorite by far was Golden Gait Stables. Everyone was so nice & accepting the minute i walked onto barn 18. The atmosphere was so welcoming and a good vibe.I would recomend Golden Gait Stables to all my friends&family.

I had the BEST time at this barn. Denise gave me and my family a trail ride lesson where we learned a ton about the area, the local everglades and got to see it all by horseback. Will definitely go again when we visit FL this winter!!
