I would not recommend Ms. Kortz Funke as an immigration attorney.

We contracted Ms. Kortz Funke to work on our permanent residency case. She was unprofessional, gave unclear information, and made numerous mistakes on our documents that caused delays. She never responded to emails or phone calls. We had to call her multiple times for multiple days before she would respond. When she did answer, the information she provided was always vague.

Because of our lack of confidence in Angela, we actually consulted 2 other lawyers to understand if her behavior was normal. They both told us that it was not. Unfortunately, since we had already submitted our paperwork to immigration by the time we talked to these other lawyers, we could not contract another lawyer without resubmitting our paperwork. We chose to continue with her for this reason.

Immigration law is already scary enough, without the added stress of an incompetent lawyer.

I have known Angela Kortz Funke both professionally and as my attorney for over 30 years. She has always been very competent in approaching a case and her success rate is very high. I have done psychosocial evaluations for her and she has been very ethical . Not only has she helped people with sex abuse, domestic violence, and now specializes in immigration law, but she approaches each case with a passion for justice that goes beyond the norm. I highly recommend this woman.
