Lux Nail Salon

This place is the beth pedicure !! they have hot stone and hot tower ,the new pedicure chair was wonderfull,it have airbag massage and roler massage ,everything with the good price.the staff firendly ,the salon it quiet and so relaxing .The salon was clean ,when im threre they were busy but the staff work quiet,no yelling back and forth.and the soff music playing. it so relaxing .i came to this salon 2 years ,my nails allway turned out great.Somtime i have to come back 2 or 3 time to get My nails and pedicure done, i never go somewhere elle.I encourage everyone to try this place for yourself.Overall very happy.

I should have looked at the reviews before going. First of all , even if this place is under construction, it looks like a dump. I went there May 11.with an appointment. I asked for gel nails. She puts lots of coats of get on with drying inbetween. I was not impressed with her shaping of the fake nails on the sides. It should not overlap to skin. but at least she cleaned up my cuticles.

Now not even a week later I have lost two of the nails. Why, not abuse. two times I was scratching my leg and the nail broke so I had to take it off. Then another nail, was lifting in the corner and I tried filing it but it didnt help. I didn't want water to get under so took it off. I see two other nails where the nails are starting to lift. this is ridiculous. I dont have my hands in water that much if someone is thinking that. I will never return to this place. I didnt NOt have groupon but paid with my hard earned money. Even if I did have a groupon like the other lady , so what. The place Sucks. and was dirty.,

To whom ever thinks this place is great, think again. I may be cheap but I bought 2 groupons to Lux Salon. My friend and I got the pedicures at the same time. After she filed my feet with a cheese grater (illegal) and clipped my nails, which made me bleed (sanitizing issue) She used the same tools on my friend that she used on me. This is not only harmfull to my health but also YOURS! This can cause fungus, sickness, infection, or viruses. I watched her put the tools away to be ready to use for the next customer with out washing or sterilizing them. I work in the spa industry and if I ever used a tool on any of my clients that wasn't sterilized I could lose my license, which Lux Salon should. This was the worst pedicure/manicure ever. This is no way to attract future business. If you have bought a groupon I suggest you try to get your money back.

As far as the busness owner who said that we should not blast her on a review site, and that Groupon is for ever cheap girl in Cornelius, I am not cheap, I am like most every other American in this terrible economy, Just trying to get the most for my money. Also what do you think a review site is for???? I will give my opinon where ever I want.

Help- I just printed my Goupon and now I am really nervous about going. I got one for my mom and i for mother's day. Was it a mistake?

I have been a customer at Lux Nails for 5 years now and I am horrified by these reviews. 1st of all- study up on Groupon and youll understand why she is booked out for weeks... every cheap girl in Cornelius is looking for a 5 star job but only wants to pay half price. You get what you pay for...also the business is being remodeled- which is why the mani chairs were not available and they do have the best pedicure - full body massage chairs in cornelius. As a local business owner groupon is the worst of local "deals" (for the owner) and it so unfortunate that some local business owners who may not understand how much they are losing by signing up for groupon get bombarded with customers like the above. If you dont like the customer service its your choice to not return- but maybe you should speak up next time and tell THEM... not blast them on a review page... I know the owner and she would correct anything you werent happy with. I would suggest this salon to new customers able to respect and voice your expectations.

This place is absolutely terrible! I went to use a groupon and will NOT return. The groupon was not honored as it was originally stated on the website. I bought the deluxe manicure/pedicure and there was nothing "deluxe" about it. It was a brief pedi with too hot water and almost no massage. The manicure was just as bad - and it was done while sitting in the pedicure chair - no manicure tables! There was no shellac, paraffin, massage, nothing. Just a terrible polish job and done. I don't even know what the "regular" mani/pedi would have been. The place was a mess. No licenses or grades on the wall. Will NOT go back.

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!! Can I give a zero rating, I don't want to give one star!!! They tapped a thing you use for pedicures on the floor, my toes still hurt over a week later and I am fearful I am getting in grown toenails which I have NEVER had with pedicures. It was in and out in 30 minutes, let me tell you she Hates Groupon customer. Just hear how she responds to your request for a appt....she says she is booked and can't take you for 8 weeks or something ridiculous. While I was there she said the only reason she did the groupon was to get her some new pedicure chairs. I didn't see any licences on the walls, no grade of the salon. When the woman cut one toe I should have left then and there. But instead when I left I have two toes cut!! I am thinking I will be at a doctor here soon. Don't walk run.....this is not worth being concerned about fungus, in grown nails etc. Before you book, maybe stop by and you'll probably then decided. I have been putting hydrogen peroxide on every day and a antibiotic too.....great pedicure right!!!

Poor customer service. They do good work but customer service is horrible. Booking appt was a fight and they don't honor the groupon as I was offered on groupon website

The owner of this shop is rude. I will never go back. There are too many other nail shops out there.

My best pedicure yet! The staff takes their time and do an outstanding pedicure for a very reasonable price. The paraffin dip was a bonus! I would definitely recommend them. Also ask for an appointment with Nikki for the best nails. She is absolutely an artist putting on and refilling acrylic and solar (Pink and White) nails.

I have never felt compelled to write a review... today is different! DO NOT GO to Lux Nail Salon! I left so unhappy. I went to have a relaxing time and get gel polish put on (mind you, I have been getting gel polish for months now...) Instead I experienced unsteady hands - having to constantly wipe off the poilish around my nail beds. It looks like a 3rd grader painted my nails. Not only was the technique horrible, but I was "forgotten" about when a pedicure client came in. I had to speak up and ask "excuse me, how much longer"? I would not recommend this salon to any of my friends. I will not be returning. I WILL be getting my nails redone by a DIFFERENT salon tomorrow.
