Edgewood Center Pediatrics

Very happy with this office, hardly no wait at all! That was after they squeezed in my sick baby in their schedule. The staff is always so nice and understanding with all of my concerns.

I have been taking my kids to Dr. Gendelman since he first came to our area and have always had the best care ever for my kids. The practice has grown substantially since that time and still we receive excellent care. Although we still prefer Dr. Gendelman, my kids have been seen by some of the other doctors there and they have all treated us well. We have never been refused and have never had any unreasonable wait times. The office and nursing staff are extremely nice and very patient too. Prior to finding Dr. Gendelman we had some very bad experiences with two other pediatricians. It was a fluke that we found him, but we've been greatful ever since. My cousin (who is a registered nurse), also having had some bad experiences with another pediatrician, took her daughter there after hearing my mom tell her about us finding Dr. Gendelman. She switched pediatricians and said she too received excellent care and continued to bring her daughter there for years.



I'm happy to say that my oldest son, who was only about 2 when we met Dr. Gendelman, is now almost 22. Although he no longer goes to a pediatrician, he remembers Dr. Gendelman well and only has good things to say. He has not yet found a new doctor that can compare. My youngest son, who is now a teenager, still sees the doctors at Edgewood when needed. Like myself, he does favor Dr. Gendelman, but likes all of the doctors there.



Thank you Dr. Gendelman and all the other doctors and staff at Edgewood. We will keep coming back for excellent care until my son reaches adulthood. After that, we will miss you all dearly!

We love edgewood, they have awesome hours so we don't have to take the kids to a clinic. We also have liked every doctor and the nurses are so sweet!

My only son is 15-months old. We’ve take him to Edgewood Center Pediatrics since he was born. However, after the way we’ve been treated over the last year, I'm certainly not going back for his 18-month checkup—or ever!!



We've ALWAYS had a long wait, even if we have an appointment that's been scheduled weeks or months in advance. My son’s last appointment was such a disaster and the last straw. It was a prescheduled wellness visit. We got there early, and as I was about to get him out of the car, he starting vomiting--a lot. I didn't have any extra clothes because we live so close and he hasn't had an accident like that in nearly a year. We sat in the tiny exam room for what felt like forever with my son’s vomit-soaked clothes and toddler wrapped in a blanket-the only thing I had.



Knowing all this, they made no effort to see us in a timely fashion, which wasn't surprising since they've treated him the same way when we have been there when he was sick. Our appointment was at 1:30, and we didn't leave until after 3:30. I'm sure the doctor was only with him for less than 10 minutes, and of course they had to let the resident poke at him too, as always. That was followed by his vaccinations.



To top the day off they sent us to the hospital because they thought he was too yellow. My poor little guy had to have a blood draw (NOT FUN). Thankfully, he's totally fine. I'd rather be safe than sorry too, but maybe if they just took a little time to see each patient in a timely manner, they wouldn't make mistakes like that.



As a first-time mom, I didn’t know what to expect from a pediatrician, but I expect more that Edgewood provides. Dr. Baver made us wait 45 minutes during a sick visit. It might have been longer, had I not asked the front desk to send someone in. Meanwhile, Dr. Purman was busy flirting with a few of the nurses.



We’ve also seen Dr. Gendelman several times. He’s cocky and rushes through the exam. If you call the on-call service, be prepared to be made to feel super guilty for paging the high-and-mighty doctors. My advice, find a different practice!!
