Dr. Nabity earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. After graduating, he moved to Nebraska to pursue and earn his medical degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha. He completed an internship in internal medicine and pediatrics and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, before moving to Clinton Township for a fellowship in interventional pain at Michigan Neurology Associates & PC, where he continues to serve patients today.

Neuro-ophthalmology is a sub-specialty of both neurology and ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmologists need extensive and specialized training to diagnose and treat neurological and systemic conditions that impact your vision and also the movement of your eyes. For this, after completing 4 years of the medical degree, they undergo at least 5 years of clinical training that includes their residency and fellowship programs. While the exact cause of dystonia is unclear, it is related to a problem in the basal ganglia, a part of the brain responsible for initiating muscle contractions. Dr. Moosavi specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation and the treatment of spinal and musculoskeletal disorders, foot and ankle pain, and sports injuries.

Our top priority is ensuring that patients use opioids responsibly, without misuse or diversion. To achieve this, we have strict Controlled Substance Policies and Pain Contracts in place. This includes completing appropriate diagnostic testing, psychological assessments to evaluate comorbidities that may be better treated by other modalities. Risks for substance abuse potential are also addressed. Physical therapy trials to avoid the complication of deconditioning regular pill counts, and periodic review of Medication-Assisted Treatment plans. We also require regular urine toxicology screenings followed by confirmatory tests and reserve the right to demand a short notice pill count to ensure compliance.
