Primary Care
Please note that this is not an all-inclusive list of insurance plans accepted by Tri-County Gastroenterology, PC. If you do not see your insurance company listed above, please call our office. If you have a POS or HMO policy, a referral from your primary care physician is required.
Emergency Care
One of our physicians is always available for emergencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you find it necessary to contact us outside of normal office hours, you may call our main number (586-286-5400) and you will be given instructions for contacting the physician on call. Your call will be returned as soon as possible. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or report to the nearest emergency room.
Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy involves the examination of the lining of your large intestine (colon) for abnormalities by inserting a thin flexible tube into the anus, which is then gradually advanced into the rectum and colon. The advancement of the colonoscope is controlled by the physician. It has its own light source and lens and allows the doctor to view images on a video monitor.

Our dedicated team of Board-certified gastroenterologists utilizes the latest diagnostic testing and techniques to treat conditions including ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, swallowing difficulties and diseases of the liver. We also encourage colon cancer screening and are committed to colon cancer prevention. We are dedicated to providing each patient with the highest quality care, delivered with compassion and warmth.

Welcome to Tri-County Gastroenterology, PC, where we specialize in the treatment of diseases of the digestive system. We have been committed to providing care to residents in the Southeastern, Michigan, Tri-County area for over 30 years.
Colon Cancer
Endoscopy
You will be welcomed by the TCC staff who will meet with you for registration. Shortly thereafter, you will be escorted to the pre-op area by a registered nurse who will be caring for you prior to your procedure. You will be evaluated by an anesthesiologist and brought into the endoscopy suite. Your physician will speak with you briefly prior to receiving sedation. After the procedure is completed, you will be brought to the post-operative area and monitored closely while you recover from the sedation. Once fully awake and stable, your doctor will speak with you and your driver to review the results of the findings. You will be provided with specific instructions prior to being discharged.

X-Rays
Computed Tomography
During your first visit, a detailed medical history will be obtained. Please bring a complete list of your current medications and the results of any recent medical tests or studies. The doctor will ask you questions about any previous illnesses, surgeries and medications. The answers you give may help to successfully treat your present medical condition. A physical examination, particularly directed to areas of the gastrointestinal tract, will be performed. The doctor will then discuss further diagnostic tests such as laboratory studies, x-rays, CT scan and endoscopic exams that may help diagnose your condition.
