LUV Manicures & Pedicures

Decided to try this establishment cause it's close to home. Big mistake. This was my first and last time going here. Wouldn't recommend anyone to go and watch your time and money on horrible service. Me and my boyfriend visited to get a manicure and pedicure an hour before closing and was told we could only get one or the other. The shop wasn't even busy. We had to young ladies who had to be just beginning to do nails because the Pedicure is the worst I've ever experienced. My toe nails looks like a kid polished them. I had to point out things that weren't done right. I was very dissatisfied and will not be returning. The nail techs need more training.

Very bad experience. The gal who was doing my french manicure said she had been there along time but I would have guessed she started that day. She didn't even know how to do french polish. Someone else had to take over and do the whole thing. My cuticles looked worse that they did when I went into. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I don't understand why this place has only 2 stars. I walked in on a whim and got one of the best pedicures ever. The salon is clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated. Sure, you're going to pay a little more than the Asian places on every corner, but you get what you pay for. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

MY FIRST TIME GETTING A MANICURE - The The website says " Classic LUV Mani classic LUV mani features Nail Shaping, Cuticle Care, Polish with an Ultra Hydrating Hand Treatment. (25 minutes) $19" the technician trimmed my nails, filed them and polished them - no cuticle care, no hand treatment - $19 -she didn't explain anything, wasn't very friendly AND there was a hair in my finished polish, which I took off as soon as I got home, had to refile two nails because they looked WAY different than the others. I don't know what to say - a big splurge for me and a bigger dissappointment!

went to luv's clinton township location i cant understand why all the poor reviews they were great.. my french polish was perfect and my gel polish is still going strong after 3 weeks my pedi was relaxing i got hot towels and hot oil.

had an amazing experience .... the nail technician was friendly and courteous front desk people were as well. loved that i can invite a ton of friends and we can get our nails done together!!!! would recommend this salon to anyone. and btw she did an awesome job complete with nail art.

My manicure lasted for about 12 hours before it started to fall apart. Four acrylic nails popped right off within 5 days. The worst part is I paid twice as much as I would anywhere else! $40!!! Crazy! Not worth it, don't waste your time or money.

First time there- RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! Receptionist needs a lesson in customer service. Decieded I didnt even want to spend a penny there!

I guess it's Location Location! Will Go back to Shelby- will not recomment Luv's in Clinton Twp (Gratiot) to anyone!

I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I only clicked 1 star because 0 starts was not an option! The tech was nice enough, but provided a terrible mani/pedi. I asked her to fix a few things but was still left with a less than acceptable mani/pedi. I called the the same day with my complaint and was promised a call back in 24-48 hours. Needless to say, never recieved a call back and after 3 months of calling and stopping in, I was finally given the name and number of the VP. He refused a refund as it's not their "policy" and was outright rude on the telephone. He said he could only give a redo mani/pedi. Who would feel comfortable and enjoy the experience after 3 months with no response to numerous complaints? Not me! I was promised a call back from him after he spoke with "the owner" about my request for a refund and of course never was contacted. TERRIBLE customer service!

Poor service. Sloppy manicure. High prices for a poor product. I will not go back.

I've been to the Luv ; Mani and Pedis on Hall rd and lovvvvved it! Everytime i left there, my nails looked amazing...but when I went to the Luv on Gratiot in Clinton Twp, I left BEYOND disappointed. I was livid but LATE for plans I already had and decided maybe it wasn't as bad as I thought... well no I was rite in the first place... I got the middle level Pedi and the bottoms of my feet looked NO different then when I walked in.... then I sat down to get my full set of acrylic nails and OH WOW... they were a messss! All different shapes, sizes... she didn't even check that the length matched the opposite hand. I had bumps in the acrylic and it started breaking off almost immediately after leaving there. Like the actual nail itself... not the polish I got it... which by then way, she got all over my skin and it looked like it was globbed on in certain spots. My friend and I arrived there at 5:30 and finally walked out at 8....... Grant you, we were walk ins but I specifically said I had to be out of there by 7... I go to Luv expecting the BEST customer service and was greatly disappointed. The owners (2 guys i believe?) were roaming around the salon, laying in the chairs where all the customers wait, dressed in like bathing suit bottoms and a casual t-shirt, texting and/or fooling around with the staff...In my opinion, If I just opened a buisness 4 days ago.. I would do things more professionally? Once I finally checked out, I made sure not to tip the girl who did my nails, I still don't know her name.... she never mentioned it... go figure. I wanted to get out of there asap. I promise you Im not one to complain about little things or make a big scene in public but I WILL be calling them tomorrow and demanding my money back... thats how bad it is......

IF YOU WANNA GO TO LUV ; AVOID THIS ONE.... THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING..... !
