Clermont Medical Center

I read some of the 1 star criticisms of Clermont Medical and was amazed. I think the people that work in this office are terrific. I've been going there for almost 10 years. My doctor, Dr. Gary Winfrey is SUPERB. I never feel rushed and he has a marvelous bedside manner. And he knows his stuff. Yes, there have been times I have had to wait. Sometimes up to an hour but that's to be expected. Sometimes there are emergencies. Sometimes examinations take longer than expected. Whenever I go there, I never expect to be taken right away, but usually I am. There were those rare occasions when I had a long wait. Big deal. I pulled out my smart phone and went thru my email. I have never been treated rudely, I have never been rushed. I consider myself lucky to have Dr. Gary Winfrey as my physician. I cannot say enough good things about this office.

Dr. Kelly Winfrey had been taking care of my elderly mother for the past 5-6 years. Dr. Winfrey was very gentle, knowledgable, understanding, professional and caring towards my mother's many issues.

Deplorable Customer Service

The doctors are very nice, whenever they finally do get to see you. I believe this medical center "double books" so most times I wait in the waiting room for more than an hour. Lynn, and all of the other assistants that answer the phone are incredibly rude. I called because I am very ill and requested assistance with getting my medicine refilled. She promptly transferred me to the nurse's voice mail which is ok. However I did call back just to inquire if someone could help me today. She very rudely said "they are rooming busy rooming patients right now." Then I simply asked the name of one of my medications so I could get it refilled and she so disrespectfully said, "Again, what's your last name?" Her tone of voice was so agitated like she wished I never called. When she finally told me the name of the medicine, she then said "Did that answer your question now?" I understand that they might be busy and understaffed but I believe NO THOUGHT has been put into the customer service experience. I stay because the doctors are very nice, but if they want to keep patients they need to train the front desk staff.

I can not say enough good things about my doctor (Dr. Gary Winfrey). Takes all the time you need, never makes you feel rushed, and takes you seriously. BUT the office leaves a lot to be desired. Have tried for three days to return THEIR phone call. All I get is ringing, once in a while a busy sign. But it will ring 40 times with no one picking up...and no answer machine to leave a message! Have tried the # the person left me, plus the direct office line. Impossible to get thru. I have no idea why they were calling and find it very worrisome and frustrating...not to mention time consuming! Not the way to run any business, but especially a medical practice.

I have been to this medical office many times, the staff is exceptional and go above and beyond the call of duty to be of service.

Twice in one year, the office staff have inconvienced me and been a hazard to my health by refusing to refill diabetes meds without a visit to the doctor. I had regular visits scheduled each time in six weeks, including hemoglobin A1c tests. I was asking for a refill on previously prescribed med that is not a controlled substance.



Office managers and assistants were not available either time to assist me in my concerns.



I refused to pay for a visit & Dr. Crowley "terminated the realtionship."
