Vineburg Machining, Inc. (VMI) is a full service job shop. Our focus since 1977 is providing high quality precision manufacturing and machining services for the various industries and sectors we serve. We have extensive knowledge and experience fabricating simple to complex machined parts. We are an ISO 9001:2008 certified company and look to continuously improve and educate ourselves on the latest technologies and machining practices. VMI offers finished product from our state of the art 5-Axis CNC lathe & mills, as well as multi spindles. We provide high end CNC milling & turning and have purchased several new machines to provide efficiency and reduced costs for our clients. When precision matters and quality is not an option we are the shop for you! Our multi spindle department utilizes machines that host a variety of attachments to perform cross drilling, slotting and broaching. Since inception, VMI has worked with all types of metals such as: stainless steels, steels-inconel, tool steel, kovar, nickel alloys, titanium, brass, copper, aluminum, plastic, forgings, castings and tubing. VMI's commitment to produce quality parts has been a company wide focus. VMI has implemented a continuous improvement program into all areas of the business. Thus allowing VMI to attain ISO 9001:2008. VMI's goal is to provide their customers with a seamless transition from the plant floor to their facility, while maintaining quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency. For example, VMI produces more than 4 million custom parts annually for American companies and it is a company wide focus to keep these American made parts here in the states. VMI is capable of handling any job no matter how small or large it may be. VMI's staff is highly trained and motivated to provide quality product for any business needs. VMI has recently implemented "Lean Manufacturing" in all of their machining processes. DFM- Design for manufacturability is the general engineering art of designing products in such a way that they are easy to manufacture. VMI has taken this idea and has incorporated it in all of their manufacturing. VMI is currently working towards an AS9100 certification. Our clients range from local and federal Government Agencies, Commercial OEMs, Medical, Architecture, Beverage Industry, Animal products, Industrial and Lock suppliers, Automotive, and Semi-Conductor components to name a few. Our state-of-the-art turning centers allows us to produce the most advanced products in the marketplace to date. These amazing machines have advanced tooling, capability and output. Hwacheon's horizontal turning centers offer the best performance in the class, and are perfect solutions for a wide range of applications from small component machining to large-size processing. These turning centers feature separate-spindle multi-axis machining to perform everything from milling and turning to completion of the most complex shape with single chucking. VMI's late model CNC Mills are capable of complex 5th axis machining from prototype work to regular production machining. We utilize innovative fixturing which is designed to optimize production machining. For example, our UMC 750 SS is a 5-axis 40-taper vertical machining center with an integrated dual-axis trunnion table with travels of 30″ x 20″ x 20 suited for most machine shops The UMC-750’s dual-axis trunnion table can position parts to nearly any angle for 5-sided (3+2) machining, or provide full simultaneous 5-axis motion for contouring and complex cnc machining. 5 axis machining is unique in its ability to effectively process part sizes and shapes with essentially infinite possibilities. Like 3 axis machines, the cutting tool of a 5 axis machining center moves across the X, Y, and Z linear axes, but also rotates on the A and B axes – allowing the cutting tool to approach components from any direction. An experienced machinist can achieve incredibly complicated geometries with high precision when using all 5 axes in conjunction. VMI's late model CNC Lathes are used for all simple to complex parts. We will accommodate prototype work no matter how difficult the job. These machines also use automatic bar feeders to maximize production time. VMI's single spindle automatic machines are used for short production runs and secondary operations. The capacity for these machines are from 1/8 to 1-3/4 inches in diameter.
