The Wastewater Collection Division is governed by the County of Fairfax in Virginia, which also operates consumer protection, arts, housing, and parks and recreation departments. The division maintains a 24-hour trouble response center that assists homeowners in sewer blockage problems. It has a flow metering section that is responsible for monitoring and recording wastewater flows in the county sewer system. The Wastewater Collection Division also operates and maintains various wastewater pump stations. It has Miss Utility section, which is responsible for locating and marking sanitary sewer lines. In addition, the division offers a variety of sewer and pipe repair and maintenance, as well as manhole raising services.
