Tradewinds Freightforwarding

I had the unfortunate experience of working for Tradewinds for a number of months. This company is run by a very angry woman, Christine Erikson, who has some serious trust issues. It is laughable how frequently she hires and fires new staff. Every few weeks to every few months she will fire much of her staff and start fresh. Although I have never ran my own business I'm sure that is the absolute worst practice.

I do not agree with Shane M. assertion that most of the staff is of High School- Middle School education. However, I will say that the office politics are akin to the maturity of a recess play ground.

Jennifer Mullis, Christine’s HR minion, is instructed to watch each and every worker on the office security cameras to make sure you’re working. After having been pressured to work an Saturdays throughout the fall I was repeatedly asked to stop speaking to my coworker. Because I was "here to work". Christine Erkison would prefer that you just shut up, keep your head down, and churn out paperwork.

If you are trying to get a job here, please reconsider. Statistically it’s very likely you will not last 6 months and almost a certainty you will get fired after the winter.

Christine also enjoy smoking in the office during regular office hours. This if I am mistake is illegal.

The business is sub-par & the staff are mainly a bunch of either middle school or high school drop outs; they are very poor in communication and management skills. Jennifer Mullis for example was continually texting or facebook chatting with whomever & unable to handle my companies business; She was clearly too "BUSY" to poke at her phone than to retain my information while she threatened one of the staff to stay off their phone while working. Thats a oxymoron, very very poor uneducated people there & it seemed that the others there were too frighted to even speak while they sat there with not even a radio in the office to listen to while they kept looking to the cameras in the office. It was truly a strange place & NOT somewhere that I feel safe knowing they would be dealing with my companies business.
