X-rays
Oral Cancer Screening
Your initial visit to our Brookline office will be catered to your specific dental needs. Would you like a consultation? Do you need emergency pain-relief? Are you looking for general dentistry ? At a general checkup, we’ll review your new-patient paperwork and then take you on a tour of the office. You can meet the hygienist, and she’ll take your X-rays, clean your teeth, and perform the initial examination. Next, Dr. Sasson performs a thorough, new-patient exam, including an oral cancer screening. He’ll review your X-rays, discuss the findings, and answer any concerns you may have. Before you leave, we’ll schedule any necessary follow-up appointments and help with financial arrangements as needed.

Fillings
While the ADA has ruled that the level of mercury in amalgam fillings is safe, our office prefers to use a safe, durable alternative known as mercury-free fillings (or tooth-colored fillings). Amalgam fillings stand out against our teeth because they’re made of metal. As a result, patients with amalgams may feel more self-conscious about smiling, laughing, or speaking. Root Canal Treatment
Your teeth contain several layers: the outer protective enamel, a secondary layer of sensitive dentin, and an inner pulp that contains components commonly referred to as the “nerve” of the tooth.
