Overall

Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and professionalism in this salon and spa. After hearing good things from friends I called to book a prenatal massage and facial with the Greendale location. When calling to set up the appointment I let them know that I was pregnant and would be in my third trimester. I was told that wouldn't be a problem and they set up both the facial and prenatal massage appointments for me.



Upon arriving at the facility this morning I was told by the receptionist that because I am pregnant and in my third semester that they could not provide the facial service. This should have been told to me upon my initial inquirement about the service when calling to set up the appointment. Thanks Roots Salon and Spa for completely ruining what was supposed to be a relaxing Saturday and wasting my time. Needless to say I will not be back and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Overall

the people here were the biggest snobs. very rude. my stylist was the owners little sister and she purposely butchered my hair to punish me for tipping the front desk the visit prior. sorry I didn't take a course on salon etiquette.this experience has completely changed my life. now I go to a salon once a year and it's the least snobby place I can find. I hope this place goes out of business. I wish bad things for the wildebeest that changed my life this way.

I have had two terrible visits to roots in Brookfield and one good visit. The desk people are rather rude and don't have any rush to greet you. I tried using a groupon and had horrible looking hair until I could get it fixed. I tried a pedicure and had about a third of a service performed. The person doing the work said " you don't want polish do you ? " .



yikes if you are not filing the feet for rough skin and not wanting to paint nails why do the service at all??? The polish missed two toes and left two others a mess because they did not have the foam things that separate your toes.



I had one good hair color at roots with missy, she did a great job. The styling I requested never got done, so it was the best visit at roots, but far from a 10 ....

While Groupon can be great to get new clients in the door, Roots will surely send the new client running back out. I was sent to Kelly, upon sitting in her chair it was clear she did not want to do what I paid for. She first stated I was there for a partial foil highlight. NO, I paid for a FULL highlight. She then stated that if she were me she would not do foils, instead paint them on and color my roots because the highlight wont blend if I don't (this was an added $47 she tacked on to my $50 paid already unknown until checkout time!) After sitting MORE than an hour with color AND bleach, at the same time, on my hair, she finally came to take it off. She did not listen to a word I said about how I wanted my haircut and proceeded to do what SHE was comfortable with and could get HER out the door and home. We finish with her having me agree that if I did not like my hair to schedule another paid appointment and she would re-cut it! She then started shoving purchasing retail products down my throat, things she did not even use on my hair! NONSTOP about how she would sell a kidney to get this product and that is a must have! She then presented me with a $47 bill, on top of the $50 already paid and let me tell you what my hair looks like....sections were randomly bleached no foil used, and my roots were colored something else, no bleach on roots. So, once in the daylight I have dark roots, chunks of blonde in the middle and dark ends and underneath. AND SHE WANTED MORE MONEY FOR DOING A "ROOT" JOB. I asked for a manager, Kelly immediately left the area, and explained that I did not even get what I paid for let alone extra charges I should have been given the option to refuse! The manager refunded the extra $47 and explained KELLY was new. New may be the case, but then why is she rude and lazy? The manager and Kelly began to whisper at the desk with me sitting in the waiting area for my ride, I became so angry, I just walked out. HORRIBLE HAIR STYLIST KELLY, LAZY, RUDE horrible 'skills'. AND horrible chair side people skills!

Over 6 hours spent in the salon for an over-processed partial foil and trim. Bleach was left on my hair (without being checked) for over an hour. I had to personally insist that the stylist (or someone) check and rinse my hair. My white locks were fixed only after I insisted to speak with a manager, and it be corrected today. (She wanted me to come back another time.) No offer of a discount or refund... Cost = $90.00 and a receipt noting I could fill out a survey about my experience.
