Alexander Romm came from a European family with roots in the jewelry business going back to the year 1700. George Romm and his son-in-law, Abraham L. Rysman, were the second generation, taking over during World War II. Alexander Romm Rysman, the third generation, took charge in 1986. In 1993 Romm Diamonds moved to a splendid new location at 1280 Belmont Street, adjacent to Route 24.         Beware, especially with jewelry repairs. I had the prongs of my engagement ring replaced and they suggested soldering them together which I agreed to. 3 years later my engagement ring snapped off at the point of the solder on both sides. Tried to convince me that it was normal wear and tear for a platinum ring and that I could pay $400+ to have it repaired. Lol- what a joke. Will never return to this place. Terrible customer service.

        My family and I had purchased 5 different Rolex watches , diamonds, custom made gold pieces, medals etc. we've never had a thing go wrong. Prices right and service is excellent.
