Commerce City Parks and Recreation hosts and organizes a variety of fitness programs and activities. It conducts the Rockies Skills Challenge program, which is a baseball competition that offers opportunities to showcase talents in base running, batting and throwing to youngsters. The department s brain fitness program improves mental skills and updates knowledge with fun games and latest information and research related to brain functions throughout lifecycle and is sponsored by the Colorado Chapter of the Alzheimer s Association. Commerce City Parks and Recreation also administers adult and youth sports programs. It additionally hosts various family picnics, business meetings, corporate outings and church functions.
