Some of the rudest medical personnel I have ever had the unfortunate luck of becoming a patient with. Rude doctors, rude nurses. Billing and scheduling is fine--but everyone else is RUDE.

Best OBGYN I've been to by far. Office staff is friendly and gets messages answered quickly. Dr. Swanson has an excellent bedside manner and really listens to questions and problems.

I have had a wonderful experience with everyone in the office during my two pregnancys. Dr Alvarez was able to answer any questions I had and made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend this Dr's office to everyone!

I receive some bad news at around 20 weeks, and he handled my situation with COMPASSION (which many doctors lack) and was very professional. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Alvarez and his office!ommended because

i also had trouble with staff there i was told if i didnt have a test done to see if i have cancer i was no longer a paient there had a loud augument with so call nures. i told them i wasn't ready to have the test done. there just a factory pullin in paients not really caring about them.

I was so happy with my service at this office until my visit w/ Alvarez. He was belittling and rude. He spoke down to me and made me cry. He also gave me expired medication. When I called the office after I got home to talk to them about my visit, they dropped me as a patient. I guess if you have a complaint you no longer have a doctor. He is a horrible man and doctor, please beware. No one deserves this treatment when they are about to have a baby. I wish I knew how to get his license taken away. Protect yourself by choosing another doctor. Lakewood Ranch was a wonderful facility, I ended up still delivering there. But I got another doctor who would treat me like a person. There are no words to explain how I feel about my care with him. Run. There are too many wonderful doctors out there to subject yourself to Jorge Alvarez.
