General Info: Membership on netCOMPONENTS empowers the procurement professional by providing access to the world’s largest electronic components database in a robust, yet easy to use, web site environment. netCOMPONENTS web site is filled with an array of powerful features designed for professional sourcing & procurement needs. Members may search for parts (including allocated or obsolete items) by entering one part number, several numbers, or a maximum of 100 numbers using "Multi-Search". On the search results, a scrollable listing of all suppliers who show inventory will appear with their quantity on hand as of a specified date. Members can click on the suppliers name to view information about the suppliers holding these items, whether they are authorized, the languages they speak, the localized time, who they sell to, payment methods, payment terms, minimum order, and, of course, how to contact them. Members can contact suppliers directly via traditional methods, such as telephone or fax, or online by sending Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs) to the suppliers via e-mail directly from this site. netCOMPONENTS enables membership access for organizations of different sizes ranging from companies with one buyer at an individual location to large enterprises with multiple buyers spread across locations worldwide. netCOMPONENTS enables each user within a member company to have their own login, messaging system, part alerts (member is notified when a specified part number is added to the netCOMPONENTS database), and personalized settings. User controllable settings include the ability to sort search results by worldwide region and the ability to enable/disable logging and messaging. netCOMPONENTS enables suppliers (stocking distributors and other companies with inventory for sale) to market themselves to buyers worldwide, receive qualified Request for Quotes (RFQs), receive Purchase Orders (POs), acquire new customers, and increase sales volume. By fostering direct communication, netCOMPONENTS' model helps build relationships, both new and existing, between members and suppliers. Although distributors are the primary category of sellers on netCOMPONENTS, other companies with inventory for sale include OEMs/CEMs selling excess stock and component manufacturers selling factory stock that might not normally sell through distribution. To accommodate suppliers of different sizes with local, regional, national, or global presence, netCOMPONENTS enables suppliers to set up an unlimited number of sales offices, with an unlimited number of sales people associated with each sales office. netCOMPONENTS enables each sales person within a supplier to have their own login and user controllable settings, so they can quote online, if they wish, by sending Quotes and Purchase Order Confirmations (PO Confirmations) to the members via e-mail directly from this site. The netCOMPONENTS messaging system is multi-lingual and enables Quotes and PO Confirmations to be received by members in their language of choice, just as RFQs and POs can be received by suppliers in their language of choice.
