American Pride Tattoos

First I have to say, the Berkley location American Pride Tattoo shop has made me extremely nervous about ever being pierced at any of their locations. The piercer was a lady and I had my piercing done about 2 hours or so before closing. I was the only customer and there were two people there her plus a man. Long story short, I paid 55 dollars for her to pierce my septum pierced. She felt around my nose on the inside to find the right spot and when she felt she had it she began to pierce and it was extremely painful, which was not the issue but the problem was once I returned home and had a good look at it I noticed it was crooked/ lopsided!! So I said okay maybe it's just the way the ring is turned, nope it's clearly lopsided and I do not see how she let me walk out of that shop without owning her mistake and fixing it, so now here I am walking around embarrassed about my piercing and nervous to look at anyone in the face because they will notice my screwed up piercing!! This piercing is not just a tad bit off I mean it is horrible going from the top of the entry site on a slant toward the front of my nose so I have an entry point that's far back and high up and I have the outer point which is very low and all the way to the front this is horrible I absolutely hate it!!! I wouls never have work done here again and I will always encourage other people never to go here!

Cassie is the one to see here...she works with you to get the best tattoo possible. I got a dog tag to honor my Dad and I absolutley LOVE it!

this shop is really no good. overpriced and under-talented rockstars frequently screwing up tattoos. I'm pissed about my tattoo I got that was really sketchy. They charged me alot for some crappy ink.

I think american pride tattoos is clearly the best choice for someone that wants some effed up ink. Let me tell you that I've seen alot of work that was done out of all of their shops, and I myself have gotten tattooed there. I have many tattoos done by alot of artists and I know what constitutes a good tattoo. While I was getting tattooed, I could tell the artist was in a hurry and therefore made careless mistakes. Also I dont think the owners personally give a damn about their artists, and it shows just from the times I've been there. I would also say that theyr'e extremely overpriced. And when I asked her why it was so much, she pretty much told me because we can. Not because the work is worth it or how long it would take, but simply because of the location on woodward. Another instance I remember is when I was in there and the owner was just screaming at one of the artists and basically threatening him. I don't know about you, but I'm not getting tattooed anywhere where there's some mad hothead screaming his lungs out. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. The atmosphere was extremely impersonal, the countergirl was rude. It's like a fast-food joint. They just want you in and out. The owner steve is a scratcher, as he also hires scratchers and supplies scratchers. I would say that if you live close to any of their locations, avoid it and go somewhere good like eternal. Unless you want to pay waay too much for some crap ink.
