Staff may be well meaning towards animals, but unprofessional and insensitive in dealings with people. Don't subject your children to their hurtful and misleading tactics. There are plenty of other great pet shelters and rescues out there. We were approved to meet a puppy- and went to meeting. My 7 year old was told she seemed "nervous", even though she has lived with and loved an energetic 75lb dog for her entire life. She cried. Long story short, they told us to come back again and then never returned our phone calls or emails. There is no justification to treat people in such a manner.
