Marathon

I was in pain at 2am, I have work in the morning, couldn't sleep so I needed to make an emergency run to a convenience store. I had no choice but to walk to the closest gas station, a Marathon. (10 minutes away) .


Upon arrival, I see a "be back in 5" sign. I waited around for about 15 minutes until I realized that the associate would be back whenever they decided to be back. (even knocked a couple times before leaving). So I had no other choice but to walk to the next closest gas station which happens to be a good 20 minute walk away from this Marathon.

So add [(10)minutes to walk to marathon, + (15) minutes of waiting + (20) to get to the next gas station, + (15) minutes to walk home from the other gas station} and I have just turned a simple 20 minute errand to a ONE HOUR ORDEAL.

Had there been a sign that said "be back in 15" then I would have immediately left instead of waiting around. I needed medicine to relieve my pain so I could sleep as quick as possible. never again.
