Landscaping
A new regional maritime tug and barge terminal facility featuring a 550-linear-foot concrete dock and bulkhead for barge and tugboat servicing, a 14,900 sq. ft. office building and a 5,200 sq. ft. mechanics shop building. The highly functional office building will feature ample glass, for views out to the ship channel and the surroundings, and to take advantage of daylight. An open atrium will be the centerpiece of the building, featuring a coastal cypress exhibit. Building materials will be sculptural metal panels, aluminum storefront, metal roofing, reclaimed wood and painted steel. The building will be LEED Gold certified, landscaping will be simple and low maintenance. Rainwater will be harvested for irrigation.
