This really does a disservice. Why wouldn't it start, what service was performed, how much did it cost, why did you take it back? Please be objective if this was ever even a customer.

Thanks

I called the shop to get a price on transmission for Altima. I was so shocked at price I had to drive to shop to check it out & make sure everything was legit. They put the transmission in and my car ran great but a couple of months later the seal started leaking. I took it back and they had to keep my car for a couple of days but they put another seal in and now everything's straight. I was a little inconvenienced but they took care of me so I gotta give them a 5. Hope this helps Mike, I'm just keeping it 100.

As the Shop Manager I am compelled to reply to Mrs. Alva Alexander’s explanation of her experience with C. JACKSON AUTOMOTIVE SEVICES. Mrs. Alexander first contacted me on the 9th of July explaining that she was in a rented automobile for some time that was taking its toll on her finances now because she had allowed a relative to take her car to a local trade school for repairs and the class had graduated and the next class wasn’t ready to work on her car. After discussing pricing for a transmission rebuild, she decided her best option was a used transmission from a reputable company we deal with and we agreed upon a price of $1596.49 + tax with a 12 month or 12000 miles, limited, parts and labor warranty. I ordered her used transmission that afternoon and we received both her car and the transmission the next day. We installed the unit and had it ready for delivery on the 11th. When I called to tell Mrs. Alexander her car was ready, she told me that since she already had rented her car thru the weekend, she would pick up her vehicle on the following Monday the 15th. On Thursday the 18th the car was in my parking lot that morning because it has stopped shifting. After checking the vehicle, it was decided the unit was defective and we would replace the unit with another. I called my supplier who informed me they could have the replacement there by Monday. We removed her defective unit and was ready for her replacement. It came Monday afternoon and they took the defective unit away. The replacement unit did not have the dowel pins necessary for installation and had to be ordered from the dealership which told me it would take 2 days for the pins to arrive. This information was told to Mrs. Alexander. The order took 3 days and I did not call Mrs. Alexander after 2 days to tell her the pins had not arrived yet, extending the repair 1 day. That was a mistake on my part and I apologized. Needless to say, Mrs. Alexander was upset. The morning of the installation, Mrs. Alexander called asking about the completion time and I told her it should be ready in couple of hours and she wanted to speak with Mr. Jackson but he wasn’t available. The installation took a little longer than expected and Mrs. Alexander called again. She spoke with Mr. Jackson. After installing the transmission I only drove the car a short distance down the road to check its shifting because the fuel gauge was below E and I didn’t want to run out of fuel. When Mrs. Alexander came to pick her car up that afternoon I gave her the keys because she said she wanted to drive it. When she tried to start it, it didn’t start. She came back into my lobby very upset saying her car wouldn’t start and I told her it probably was out of gas. She said no, it didn’t do anything when she turned the key. Puzzled, I walked out to her car and tried the key, nothing happened. I reached to pull on the hood release and she stopped me say I wasn’t touching her car, she would have it towed away. She refused to sign my repair ticket and to this date I have not heard a word from the lady. I do not know what the problem was. I assume it may have been a loose battery terminal which is removed to install the transmission. Maybe it just wasn’t tightened, but I will venture to say her used transmission is working just fine.

It is horrible!! A total rip off, to shorten a long story, I took my car there for transmission repairs I paid them $1700.00 plus, I picked it after they supposedly repaired it the next day. Within 10 miles the transmission stop changing gears again!!! I took it back they kept the car 9 days, after telling me it would be ready the next day. They nevered called me with an update, whenever I would call for one Mikes attitude was a whole lot different than it was before I paid them, and so is the Owner, he dont even pretend to be God fearing at this point(lol)! Meanwhile I have had to rent a vehicle. 9 days later they tell me its ready, (after I called them of course) I go to pick up my car and it doesn't start!!!! It gets better "Mike" tells me it is out of gas (lol). The car want even turn over, doesn't make a sound! The owner who I tried to talk with "Casper" don't even pretend to care that I paid him to repair my car and I am now having to have a tow truck tow it to my house. Now I am going to have to take them to small claims court for my expenses including the $1700. plus.. Black Business owners wonder why Blacks don't support their businesses. Businesses like this one is why. This complaint is also being made to the Better Business Bureau. The reason I am posting this is to keep another woman or anyone else from being taken advantage of. This experience has also humbled me more and I will be even more consisitent in treating people with christian love and respect. Its not about me, its about he who abides in me.

Hey man, these guys worked on my car after they closed because I was traveling out of town. It cost me a little bit more but for what they did it was worth it. Great people!

I went to this shop to get a alternator but they found out it was something with the belt. Anyway I was looking to pay close to 400 but they only charged me $60 so I was happy. At least they were honest. Bruce S
