Glam Beauty Supply and Salon

AVOID this horrible representation of a "black owned business"!!!! At first sight I was thrilled to see a full service salon beauty supply at the local Fox Valley Mall, however my first experience as a customer was HORRIBLE and I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN. THE OWNER NADIYAH needs to understand what quality customer service is, and how to deliver it at all times. She is rude, unprofessional, does not stay on schedule, makes customers wait on her, and moves to fast lacking in quality results. When I booked a "take down" service to have my extensions removed I updated my appointment time which caused me to cancel and reschedule, when I arrived at my newly confirmed time she had the dummy face as though she wasn't expecting me. STRIKE#1....STRIKE #2 WHEN SHE TOOK MY SEW IN DOWN WITH A RAZOR BLADE SHE WAS MOVING SO FAST THROUGH MY HAIR, THAT SHE CUT A TOP PORTION OF MY NATURAL HAIR, and got rude and abrasive while defending that it wasn't her that did it. She had the breath to blame it on every other things under the sun except the possibility that she may of accidentally slipped and cut a piece that she shouldn't. STRIKE #3 Would have caused a person with not much to lose to end up in jail (luckily I have commonsense and class about myself to know when to just leave it alone and walk away!) When I called to inform her that once my take down was completed by someone else the long pieces of the remainder of my hair that was cut was discovered she wanted to get loud with me over the phone. She advised me to come in and if she felt she did something wrong she would apologize and refund me. Instead when I arrived she made me wait an additional 20 minutes while processing someone's hair, THEN approach me in a unprofessional way getting loud and putting on a ghetto performance in front of her staff and customers over a $15 refund. To me is wasn't about the money or my hair being cut...it was the PRINCIPAL of her as a owner taking ACCOUNTABILITY and having HUMILITY about herself to trying to understand that it could have been an accident. SHE RUNS HER MOUTH TOO MUCH, AND PROVES SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO LISTEN. I eventually left her ghetto mannerism and lack of professionalism standing there looking stupid reminding them that KARMA will handle the rest. Guarantee this place will be shut down by next year!
