Swedish Massage
Deep Tissue Massage
Another form of massage is known as Deep Tissue which focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue.

Disc Herniation Treatment
Disc bulges and herniations usually have an event of onset. This event can be a major trauma such as a car accident or slip and fall, or a minor incident such and twisting and bending. People have even injured discs while sneezing. Disc problems create low back pain that radiates down the back of the leg often to the level of the knee or foot. Most disc problems can be treated very effectively with conservative measure such as chiropractic care. In cases of extreme disc herniation or cases that do not respond to a trial of conservative therapy such as chiropractic, an orthopedic consult is recommended.
