Is this a real "review"? That could be questionable. This review appeared within hours after our attorneys contacted tax preparer suspected of creating "charliesmith" bad review dated 7/25/09. Additionally, our records do not show "B castaneda" as a past client. But if it was a real review, this is how I'd respond: With more than 14 years in the Accountancy/Taxation field, and a GROWING number of a good steady clientele, I'd say most people would disagree with you. For example, as recent as last year an independent CPA firm from Springfield, IL who performed a peer review on Advanced Actg. Center, Ltd. resulted in an excellent rating. If desired, copies will be made available to anyone upon request. Many IRS agents are CPAs. Therefore, we don't strive to be just another "tax preparer." I looked and did not find Omar Castro as one of our past/present clients. I don't think this is a "real" client either, but this is how I'd respond, if it was: We would never transmit an Income Tax Return without the client's signature. I'm sure your tax attorney told you that by law, CPAs have to keep ALL signed transmittals for 3 years. To do otherwise would mean unethical business practices. Our offices have never received a letter/phone call from any attorney informing us about such issues. If you are a REAL past client, please have your attorney contact us and we'll provide him/her with our attorney's phone and address. I'm eager to know who you are and help straighten things out.
