Swedish
Kneading surface tissues promotes circulation, relieves muscle tension, and relaxes the mind. This modalities incorporates gentle manipulation of the skin and mild to moderate pressure through long, gliding strokes. We recommend Aromatherapy and Sugar Scrub enhancements to add to the relaxation of a Swedish massage.
Deep Tissue
Moderate to firm pressure with gliding strokes targets deeper muscles and connective tissue to relieve chronic pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders. This modality is better suited for those who receive massage more frequently. We recommend heat applications such as Hot Packs and Hot Stones enhancements to help assist loosening muscles in preparation for deep tissue therapy.
Trigger Point
Manipulation of fascia tissues releases adverse effects of tension, inflammation, and muscular trauma. Firm, acute pressure is applied to specific trigger points throughout the body where tissues connect, helping to lengthen and relax those tissues and thus, helping your body to restore its natural function. This modality is better suited for those who receive massage more frequently, as the pressure is very firm.
Sports
Muscle manipulation and stretching relieves tension, reduces swelling, and improves flexibility. Mild to firm pressure is utilized and movement of the joints is required to perform this therapy.
Prenatal
Uniquely catered pressure and positioning relieves aches, reduces swelling, and enhances energy. Mild to moderate pressure is applied as the mother lies on her side. Body and wedge pillows are utilized to maximize comfort during the session. ***Massage Green Spa only performs prenatal massages in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Please notify our scheduling staff if your pregnancy has been identified as high-risk.***

Energy-Oriented Variations

Reflexology
Reflexology is based on a combination of ancient eastern techniques that focuses on the Feet, Hands, and Face to restore wellness to the whole body. This therapy is relaxing and is best suited for those who cannot or choose not to receive the "classic" type of massage and can be given while fully clothed.
Craniosacral Therapy
Incorporating a variety of ancient subtle touch methods, our regenerative therapy will provide you with an integrative and intuitive experience. This therapeutic session is typically given while you are fully clothed in loose comfortable attire. Your therapist will use light touch, rhythmic movement, and gentle placement of the hands on various parts of the body thought to be centers and points of body/mind balance. The goal is to experience internal balance, promote healing, and achieve a deep sense of calm. This type of therapy is best suited for those who prefer an alternative approach to massage therapy and overall healing.

Hot Packs
Small to medium sized packs are heated in water and because they retain their heat so well, our therapists are able to gradually warm up the most affected areas of your body to promote greater blood flow and relax your muscles. Unlike Hot Stones, this heat is stagnant and does not move within the therapist's hands.
Aromatherapy
By adding one of our essential oil blends to any massage session, you may enhance the overall effect of the massage treatment and provide an element that expands your overall experience. Our blends help with, relaxing, energizing, stress-reducing, or balancing.
Deep Blue Rub
This is a pure and effective lotion from DoTerra, applied with massage to the most affected areas of your body. Essential oils within the lotion penetrate deep into the muscles to provide relief to sore muscles. Experience hot and cold sensations deep in your muscles for hours and apply later at home with the sample we provide at check out. Relief on top of relief!
Sugar Scrub
Lotion infused with sugar granules are applied to the hands or feet to remove rough, dead skin. The lotion is removed and a body butter is applied to moisturize with massage focusing on the hands or feet to relaxing the tissues below the skin. Wonderfully relaxing!
Suite
Book your individual or couples massage in our suite and enjoy the ambiance within our largest room, featuring a large stone wall with the sound of cascading water. Increase the peace! ***Limited availability***
Hot Stones
Hot stones are used as part of the massage application. The heat from the hot stones penetrates deep into the muscles which enhances the outcome of any massage session by improving circulation and loosening muscles. Your massage therapist will massage you with the hot stones and place the stones on certain areas of the body to allow for a deep relaxation with the added benefit of heat.
