The Arroyo Grande Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department provides a range of recreation and leisure opportunities. It maintains various park facilities that include athletic fields, horseshoe pits, barbecue areas, community centers, gazebos and a recreation center. The department also provides a preschool program that offers classes on colors, numbers, letters, reading readiness, verbal skills, socialization, music and nature. Additionally, it offers soccer camps for children that address various areas, such as running with the ball, dribbling, passing control, shooting, heading, attacking and defending. The Arroyo Grande Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department also provides adults with lessons on tennis, basketball and digital photography. The department maintains its office in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
