K & B Automotive Repair

Three weeks ago, I dropped my truck off at K&B for a tire rotation and b'cos my engine didn't sound right. I got a call later from Tom saying I had to pay for a part that releases my tire b'cos it broke ($80)and that the engine noise was due to a piston which was normal and to just keep driving it like that. He charged me $170 for a part he broke and a tire rotation. In the meantime, my truck still sounded like crap! After about 2 weeks of driving it, based on his recommendation, I decided to take it in to Meineke for a second opinion and on the first check, they found that the engine noise was because there WAS NO OIL IN THE ENGINE!!! Tom at K&B was so incompetent that they didn't even check for oil!!! How he was able to determine that it was a piston problem and not realising that there was no oil is beyond me. Needless to say, it cost me another $100 to flush the engine in hopes that the engine was not destroyed.
