Holiday Bowl

The best bowling alley in Altoona, and has a bar also. Great place to have some fun or play in a league.

It isn't very often that we can convince our 67 year old mother with MS to come out and have a nice evening with her 3 daughters, but she did finally agree. We decided to go to the Japanese Steak House and then to Holiday Bowl. When we arrived, we told them we wanted to play 3 games and they allowed us to pay. We didn't think it would be an issue since their door said they were open until 2:30. At the beginning of our 3rd game, the bowling alley announced we needed to quit and they were closing. Having paid, we continued to bowl. They shut the alley off on us, and when we complained, they said that we could get a refund IF we came to the front and asked. We went to the front and only got a partial refund for the 6 of us with only 2 frames in. WHAT a DISAPPOINTMENT! They are really good at ruining a good time and taking your money - they deserve 5 stars for that! Needless to say, as a business owner, I know that you always cater to the customer (whether they are right or wrong), and we will be telling our customers what lousy service we experienced at this facility and will not return.
