Specialty Repair

Specialty repair does great work. They always tell me what does and more importantly what DOES NOT need to be fixed. I've always been a fan of older series BMW's and John at Specialty has helped me be able to maintain my cars without breaking the bank.

This customer below came in with squeaky brakes. We replaced the customers front and rear pads and sensors. We told this customer that their real problem was they needed a new SBC unit. The customer did not want to replace this unit at the time. 5 months later the customer came in threatening to put a bad review if we did not replace a $2000 SBC unit for free. You can look at our previous history that shows we are always straight forward with our customers and put their interests first. As for pricing we encourage our customers to shop around and they all come back to us, and we always use OEM parts.

Terrible job on my brakes - they are not genuine MB parts and they are very squeaky! Please check the prices with the others especially with RBM of Atlanta - I was in shock when I discover that front brake pads for my E-class cost at the official Mercedes Benz dealer $87 - John charge me for the fake one $98!!! MB is recommending changing the brake sensors with the pads but John only charge me for new sensors but according to he's expertise "it's not necessary to replace them" BE AWARE

Small business families need to stick together. Honest, hard working, and great service. Had multiple repairs in a very short period of time. I was well informed and the estimate was spot on. Yea right try that @ a dealership!!

Significant customer base - know that you are getting 30 years(or more) experience

If you have questions - do not...underline ..imply you are shopping for other deals - I wasn't and asked questions that were interpreted otherwise. Honesty on my part resulted in rejection of service. Well-healed clients mostly; not that there aren't exceptions. Use discretion in questioning and know - this business is well-established and does not need customers who want to know. Busy, deep-pocketed clients do best. :-) John is a good man, but not for everyone.

Specialty provides good service at great prices. For vehicle repairs or ordering parts, they are very inexpensive and responsive. John and Mitch have a decent selection of parts from hard-to-find Mercedes and BMW, at about 20% of the price of new parts. They can also order parts they dont have in stock. .

My wife and I purchased a Mercedes for our daughter that John was "brokering" for 1 of his clients. They were asking about $1300 more than the KBB value. When I asked John about it, he assured me it was worth it, that he had been servicing this car for 10 years, and that he felt very comfortable that this would a reliable car. 3 weeks later it need a water pump and a new transmission to the tune of $2300. We wished we had trusted our instincts and ran, and we ecourage anyone considering doing business with John to do the same! Run!
