Piazza Gavi

Great customer service our waitress was very friendly and prompt on a busy Saturday night. Then we were there for New Year's Eve and we were treated very nice even thou we didn't have reservations. We will definetly continue coming especially when Gigi Burton is there singing...

Our experience was not good...the hostess was very unprofessional and condesending for our group of 8. Gavi is expensive for the food quality. I ordered Veal Marsala and the sauce was not finished and tasted like the chef poured a bottle of Marsala wine over the meat....very strong alcohol content. The waiter was not attentive and had a bad attitude also. Not a good experience, you can get more for the money somewhere else!

I have never walked out of a restaurant, ever....until tonight. We had been to Gavi before and the food was really good. The service was never the best, but we waited it out because we liked the food a lot. However, we went there with some friends tonight and it was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant anywhere. We waited 25 minutes and no one came to our table. We assumed that someone must have not known that it was their table so my friend let the hostess know that we needed a waiter. Our waiter finally came over. He didn't apologize but he did get our drinks so we thought that maybe he just felt embarrassed. Well, another 25 minutes later (50 minutes total now) he had not returned to take our order. My friend approached the hostess again and asked if she could get our waiter, that we were ready to order and we hadn't seen him. The hostess snapped at my friend and told us that she didn't care. We wouldn't have mind waiting some extra time had they just been nice to us.

As visitors to Tucson, we happened upon Piazza Gavi for breakfast and what a lovely time we had. With the windows open onto the porch and vines coming through climbing to the ceiling, birds nesting, and beautiful mountains as a backdrop, we enjoyed a delicious set of omelettes and fruit. It was peaceful, unhurried, and the food was delicious - coffee was excellent. We'd recommend it to anyone!

Excellent service, scrumptious food, charming atmosphere........great prices.
