I always bring my bike here at Baer Wheels before a cycle marathon. The staff always know how to fix the parts on my bike, making them as good as new.

I've been here twice and both times were great. The first time was to check it out - and a great vibe. I came back and my experience could not have been better. I was happy with the money I spent was more than fair, the staff helpful.

I always return to Baer Wheel to talk with the sales guy, Steve. They all seem to have the best product knowledge of any shop I've found. I also really appreciate Steve's ability to sell effectively without being pushy.

If you do need help with a specific need, part, bicycle, etc, try here. They have small parts in stock that no one else in the city has, saving you shipping on a shim or nut or similar part. All in all, I've had great service here almost every time I've gone in.

Best places to get your alignment fixed! Just mention Rush Hour "Victor" sent you and you'll get hooked up! You can tell from their workers that they are honest and there to help you out. Highly recommend.

I actually like taking my bike to Baer Wheels. The staff is knowledgeable and always friendly. I find them to not be pretentious like at some other bike shops in town.

Excellent experience

My boyfriend and I are new to road biking and decided it was best to check out a small shop where we could get personal assistance and advice. Right away it was evident that the staff were really pleasant. They answered all of our newbie questions and talked to us like we were people and not dollar signs. In the end, we chose two of the cheapest bikes in the shop, but this did not change their attitude. The owner and two of his employees spent a good hour adjusting our bikes to our specific needs, swapped out accessories for free and took $40 off our total price.I liked that the store was really clean and organized. Excellent experience and I don't regret my purchase.

Expensive shop for what you get, but that's a college town for ya. The owner lacks personality, however, and ironically, he will at first try to "schmooze" you, but then if you're not buying, forget it, his charm quickly and decisively fades away. He also expects you to always buy "everything" from him forever? But, in his favor, his shop is convenient, and they will be happy to order anything they don't have. All in all, an average shop it is.... However, if you are college student I am sure he will work with you in filling your needs, so if you reside in the campus area, why not stop in and see what it's all about....

A local favorite of mine

Not your typical bike shop. Has a lot of stuff you do not see at other shops. The customer service others have been negative about was not apparent during my visit, although I can see why people have said this(very busy; 5 customers and only one person behind the counter) Also I have heard they have one of the best mechanics in town.

A bit quick on the phone.

I'd agree with the other person about feeling rushed. Just seems like a nice sport bike place. Very clickie? Hrm. I'm just writing on phonecalls. Given I'm looking for a bike based on color and need it for a guy that I'm last min shopping for with a decent budget, yeah.. how icky, it's the only thing I absolutely know he likes. I realise that my question made me seem like a tool. It's just one quick opinion.

Good selection but bad customer service. Do not shop there if you are not a bike expert. One gentleman in particular seemed to find particular offense to my ignorance between my needing either brakes and brake pads. Do these people actually want customers to come back? Apparently they can afford to lose customers.
