Ive been using this clinic for 10+ years. They only accept walk ins, unless youre scheduled to have surgery. Always good for those "omg. What the heck happened?" moments with your pets. Which is exactly what happened with my two boxers at 7am this morning. The best thing about this place is how LOW COST it is!!!! I have lots of foster dogs that have to go to designated vets (not this one) and when I check out I'm appalled at the cost!!!!! I always think to myself "Farmers branch would be a third of this!!!" Most of the staff has been there since I have been using them. I don't think I have ever been there when they weren't constantly going to keep this office running smoothly. It gets pretty busy during peak hours. Pam and Deb at the front always make me laugh when we are there. They usually come around the desk to pet my babies and say hi. Things like that make me have complete trust that the best care is given to them. There are a few vets in the clinic. They have all been great with my dogs. I have nothing but awesome things to say about the vets, the staff and the cost.

This morning around 11:40am I went into Vet Clinic of Farmers Branch with my roommate and our dog due to an skin infection. When we got there my roommate was told we could not be seen. We hadn't been there with our dogs before so we were confused as to why. So when we asked the receptionist brought a file with my roommates dads name up and said we were not to be seen since he complained about the horrible customer service online and said some rude things over the phone. When my roommate told the receptionist it was not her who said those things and our dog had never been there before she said we still could not be seen since she was listed as a co owner of her dads dog/rabbit. In disbelief, we tried to see if we could put our dog under my name since I am not related to either persons involved. I was told, "We can not see anyone who owns these animals." Even though this was a completely different animal and I had never been there before. We then left and I called back to try and contact the owner about the situation to which I was told he had left for the day and did not have a work phone number or email I could reach him at. Then, after asking for someone in charge I was told there was no manager/ supervisor I could speak too. I also tried to ask for an explanation as to why I was also asked to leave and there was none. All I was told I could do was leave a message for the owner but since he only works early Friday mornings I wouldn't hear back from him till next week. This place has the worst customer service and some of the rudest employees. I have never felt more embarrassed than I did here. If they treat people like this I can only imagine how they treat pets behind closed doors. Please spare you time and money and go to a place where they are more professional and don't hold a vendetta against people for negative reviews.

BEWARE of this place, they are rude, won't explain the charges. The vet will just take your pet and not explain what they are doing. I have filed with the BBB and a small claims court. The lady that works weekends is a evil non caring witch. She must have many personal troubles at home. I want to warn you before you go here, it's dirty nasty and stinks.

I have been taking my small Cairn Terrier to this establishment for 14 years. When I first started using them the service was $ 35.00. In recent years that price increased to $50.00 with tip. The last three times I have been very unhappy with her cut. You see the last three or four cuts had been very crooked and uneven lines. Her nails were cut but left very jagged And the very last time the man who groomed her put the bow so tightly in her hair that I could tell she was in pain. So I walked back into the salon and pointed it out. He redid it and made a huge knot in her hair. So as usual I got her home took out the bow and redid it after fixing a $50.00 cut as well. I decided to leave the woman who owns the place a message. Well after a month and no word back I started to think maybe the message got deleted or something. So giving her the benefit of the doubt I phoned today to inquire about my message and inform her of not only my issues but my fathers issues with his dog as well. Basically she said the message did not get deleted. So I'm floored at this point that she didn't even call me back especially after the 14 years I have been going there. At the end of calmly explaining to her why I was calling I gave her an out. I said my dog was in need of a hair cut and I was at a crossroad because I couldn't justify spending more on My dogs haircut than my own haircut to only have to come straight home and fix it. I then asked her what could we do. Not looking for a discount but rather looking for some ounce of professionalism I expected her to say something along the lines of "I'm sorry you were unhappy and that we didn't return your call. Please bring her in and I'll make sure the cut is even and up to our standards" but instead I'm floored when she tells me to take my dog somewhere else! 14 years I have been going here. Trusting them with my dog. And this is how they treat my loyal patronage?

Prices are great and they treat your pet with the utmost care. One thing that is in dire need of changing is the front desk. They are rude and make you feel like you need to rush.

When I moved the last time, around 2 years ago or so, I gave this clinic my new address for the reminder postcard letting me know my dog's shots were due. Completely forgot about em until a good 7 months later or so, mostly because I never got a reminder (yeah, yeah, grown woman should remember when her dog's once-a-year shots are due). Ended up having my mom and daughter take him in while I was at work, and they'd never been there before. The women at the desk were extremely rude to my 60-something year old mother, especially when she didn't know where the scale was to weigh him. She also told them that he was there for this year's shots, and the woman gave an attitude saying he hadn't been there in two years, so they couldn't be this year's shots. Argumentative much? I understand that this is a super busy clinic, but can the attitude. You work in a customer service environment, and if you don't like people, don't work a front desk, animal clinic or not!

A no-frills clinic, but the prices cannot be beat. They care about the animals, and they offer their services for prices at half what others charge. I have used them for five years now for my dog's annual exams, and I have been very pleased with them.

They have been nothing but great every time one of our pets has needed care - cats, dogs, & ferret - duing the past 10 years! The only complaint Ive ever had is that they need to provide a restroom for the patrons! Other than that, I have always been seen promptly by a very capable veternarian - meds provided - & pet on the way to recovery!

This is a wonderful place to get care for you pet. They are professional, caring, knowledgeble, and inexpensive. If you have a need or issue, they will try to work with you and, since they have a low overhead their prices are reasonable. I won't take my dog anywhere else.

Best prices in town, attentive vets, but the front desk is a mass of confusion, not polite, condescending attitude, unfamilar with payment processing equipment. In needing to speak to the owner, the front office made it impossible.

Great Care & Service For Your Pets!

My dog Casey has been going to this clinic for 11 years. The staff and vets are all awesome! My dog has had 3 surgeries performed here and all three (torn ACL, Luxating Patella, and abcessed tooth) surgeries went well.

I've never had to wait long for a general visit or check-up. The vets are honest and knowledgeable. The building is old, but my dog and I don't mind that. The service is great and affordable and that by far outweighs the old building. It is near I-35/Valwood area in Farmers Branch. Shopping and restaurants are accessible to this office.

They sell the Hills prescription dog food here and that is what I buy for my dog. It has less Ash in the dog food and it is alot easier on the kidneys and urinary tract.

Feel confident that your pets will be taken care of when you bring them to Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch!

Busy but great!!!

The building may be old, but it is clean. The office staff is busy but are friendly and upbeat. They never seem to tire of al the people and pets in the lobby. The receptionist always know the animals, maybe not the owners, but the animals are the most important part of the visit after all. With no appointments set, except surgeries, the wait time is minimal. The two receptionist that have been there for years are very nice and seem to know what they are doing. The vets are knowledgeable and helpful when you ask questions. I've been going there since the 1970's. The service is great and the staff is friendly. The value and service is worth the drive.

Pet and Owner Friendly Vets

I have three dogs and finding the Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch was a total godsend. The building is older than so of these newer, younger vets but the services are the same but the prices are substantially more affordable.Having spent thousands last year in a swank office with a vet who read a sonogram wrong and cut open my dog for nothing, I can forego a modern waiting room to get my dogs care. You dont need an appointment at ACFB and you wont find it all overbooked like the Petsmart Banfield's are. The last thing I want to do is wait in a ve'ts office with weight of my dogs digging in my legs. Try this place - you'll be glad you did!
