The trainers will sit there and tell you that they have no real training method, or that each dog is different, and this method does not work for all dogs, but it is very heavily correction based, and they do use the same method for every dog. When going through the school they would use the phrase "correct the snot out of him" all the time. They focus so much on the correction that they never really cover the proper way to have balance in this type of training. It has been almost 2 years since I went through the training and now that I look back on it I wish I would have went somewhere else or just learned on my own. I went in with a fearful rescue, and when I got out of the school he was on the verge of fearful aggressive, once I started shying away from NK9 method my dog began getting better by the day. More of a method for HGL dogs. Hope this helps.

Compulsion based training. The trainer school is purely compulsion based as well. Modified Koehler school is what I got from it. Instructors have ego's as large as their facility; the facility is very nice however. Unaccepting to questions that go against their philosophy and it seems like they take questions personally. I graduated with certification in professional dog training from them. Website is very misleading. No behavior modification is taught in this school yet the website says emphasis is placed on this aspect of training. The exposure to this side of the training world was great but I wont ever train dogs in the same manner. Not when there are FAR more effective ways to train dogs now a days and far more open minded schools.
