ABC Transmission Service Tacoma

A few months ago I brought my truck thinking it needed a new transmission. It shifted terrible. One of the staff greeted me and said he would like to test drive it. After about 15 minutes he came back with the keys and said it is fixed. He said a vacuum line came undone. He didn't charge me a thing, He could have told me anything but was honest and nice. They earned a future customer! I recommend them to everyone!

As the owner of Washington Electric when one of my service vans goes down it’s a big deal. Each day that vehicle is out of service is lost revenue and somebody is sitting at home waiting to get back to work.The Chevy Express with 79k miles started acting up on a Sat Evening at 7:30….Wouldn’t go into 3rd gear or reverse. Instantly I knew a needed a professional to get it fixed. I’ll be honest; I didn’t have a regular transmission shop that I had used in the past. I had some references to a three different shops. They were all closed for the weekend so I went online. The only shop that had very many reviews was ABC Transmission....I found about 25 on Google Places. I actually read almost all of them. There were a couple reviews that were bad, but all the rest were really good and many of them talked about how HONEST the shop was. By the time I was done reading I wanted to do business with these guys!They did a great job for a reasonable price. Thanks ABC!

Took my explorer there and was told I needed a new shift solenoid. Paid about 650.00 to have it fixed. They told me it was fixed and before I got a mile away the light came back on. Took it back and all of a sudden it was costing almost 3,000.00. I ended up getting it towed out of there but they lost my transmission. Now I am waiting for a resolution

My car broke down on I-5 in Fife. ABC Transmission towed my car to their facility free of charge. They found that my transmission failed as a result of an accident I had just a few months earlier. Mark went out of his to go to bat for me with my insurance company. Unfortunately in the end, my insurance company insisted on towing my car back to Olympia to have the original mechanic replace my transmission.I have felt bad about this ever since, so I thought the least I could do is write a positive review for ABC Transmission.Incidentally, the shop in Oly (Crossroads Collision Center) went on to further damage my car while replacing the transmission AND installed a crappy replacement transmission as well as the wrong transmission fluid in the tranny.I'm still dealing with this issue 10 months after their original repair. Something tells me that if ABC Transmission had been allowed to replace my tranny, I would not be going through this continuing nightmare.Anyways, thanks so much

This place ROCKS! I have never met such an honest caring group of people. They fixed my transmission for less than what they said it would be and it worls wonderfully, they didn't try to add on unnecessary work and they had me in and out when they said they would.

I had a problem with my ford's transmission, and took it to ABC. They recommended checking the thipple switch, which we did because of the code from the computer. It turned out to be fine, and they determined that all the gears past second were gone. So we replaced the transmission. I didn't like the cost, but the guarantee seemed to compensate for that. Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to test the guarantee a week later. It took about four visits to the shop to get the problem solved and I was without my truck for about a week, but in the end, they solved the problem and I wasn't charged any more. That part I liked. It has run well ever since, in fact, better than ever before. They never showed any sign of annoyance at me during our continuous interaction. Overall, I would say I'm pleased. But they were costly. Time has yet to tell whether or not they were worth it, but at this point, I'm thinking they were.

They towed my car for free and had my job done the same day. I was afraid my car would be gone for over a week. Great service.
