John's Lumber

For being a lumber yard, there wood leaves alot to be desired. It was SO warped, and huge chunks missing, that we couldn't even use alot of it. We even asked the guys that loaded it for us, to try and get some half way decent pieces.. ya, right. I suggest that if you buy lumber here, check it before you accept it. The one good thing, that I will say, is the customer service guys, that take your order, we're very nice.

Bad experience, no one knows what is going on at the Clinton township location. Drove from gp three times and all three times my order was not ready or was the wrong order.

Recommended by my carpenter, I had a very good experience with John's of Shelby Twp. Very comfortable, family oriented and good to very good pricing. I purchased 500.00 + worth of lumber for an old 1800's farm house. The quality was good to very good, they were familiar and very helpful with the engineering aspects. Joyce,studs, plywood, lvl's and hardware. Cabinets for an entire kitchen are being planned. Most of all it reminded me of the good ole days type lumber yard. No speed growth lumber, where it looks good when you buy it, but by the time you have it installed its something else.
