        Cardiologist Mauro Ortiz, MD is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and he practices primarily out of Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio's Medical Center location. While there, he completed a research fellowship in hyperbaric medicine and surgical infectious diseases. He completed his residency, including serving as chief resident, in internal medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Ortiz made his way back to Texas in 2000 to complete his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Ortiz is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiologists. He belongs to a number of other professional organizations including the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and Texas Medical Association.

        The best doctor ever

        I have been a patient of Dr. Ortiz for about 15 year, he is the best doctor I have ever had. The best beside manner I have ever experience. He actually cares about his patient, excellent listener, spends the time he needs with you to ensure you are healthy. I would never trade him for another doctor!!! Keep up the great work Dr. Ortiz!!
