Located in San Antonia, the Senior Services Division provides a variety of services for the social, psychological and physiological well-being of senior citizens in Bexar County, Texas. The division offers assistance for elderly citizens at their own homes. It organizes several aging programs with the cooperation of public and private agencies in the community. The Senior Services Division offers referral and nutritional assistance services. The division is funded by the Alamo Area Council of Governments. The Senior Services Division is owned and operated by the Department of Community Initiatives, which coordinates with government and community-based agencies to strengthening families, develop human capital and sustain a community safety net.
