        What's Up With the Service?

        Normally, I order my food through the delivery service. On this date, I decided to visit the restaurant, in person. I sat with my lunch mate for over fifteen minutes. We asked the hostess about someone serving our table. We were told someone should be with us, shortly. Plus the hostess stated, "someone should've been to the table to take our drink order." We waited another five minutes. During this time, other servers passed our table. Matter of fact, a server checked on a table directly seated behind us. Before the server came to the table, she went toward the front. When she approached the table, she did apology for the delay. By this time, we were ready to go. According to the server, they were in the middle of a server change. Funny, the cafe closed at 2:30 PM. How can a business be in between a server change when you arrive at 2:10 PM? To top it off, the person that waited on us stated, :that it was okay we were leaving." WOW. I like their chicken salad on a salad. But, I won't order it again, even through the delivery service. Maybe, Harvest Moon isn't worried about losing business. With this economy, I hope they re-think their position. I don't want to play the race card. But, how many black people has received this treatment? Guess, I will have to have a sit-in.

        A local favorite of mine with huge variety. Love the sweet potato chips and house salad!

        The homemade breads & desserts are amazing. The aromas are almost enough to satisfy. I have eaten there hundreds of times and had very few disappointments. The laidback, eclectic atmosphere makes you feel not-so-small-town. Then you see the owner waving from the kitchen and you remember you didn't fight traffic to get here. I love sitting on their porch in the front or the deck upstairs when the Georgia weather cooperates. You can't find a better price on such great quality food!

Much of our produce is provided by Big Cedar Creek Farm and Double Bit Farm. Our jams, jellies and preserves are made in house with local seasonal fruit. We provide an eclectic and comfortable environment where locals and tourists alike, enjoy hanging out.
