Overall

The very worst customer service you'd ever want to experience. The so-called "managers" are just as barbaric as the rest of the beasts working there....pathetic excuse for a store operation.

Great Prices but AWFUL Checkout

I guess this rating is not really applicable to JUST this Wal Mart since the bad experiences I've had at the one in Sheila Lane are the same I've had all over Virginia. Wal-Mart DOES have great prices and they sell everything so it's a great place to go if you need to buy such disparate items as juice, new underwear and like...notebooks.



BUT they have the worst checkout system I've seen. They usually have 20 plus registers but only 3 or 4 are usually on meaning there's ALWAYS massive lines. Be prepared to wait for 30 minutes or more if you go there between 4 pm and 7 pm which is of course, really annoying when all you have is 3 items.



Their self-checkout is worse: they never flow smoothly. For whatever reason, they are always on hold because some customer is stuck and waiting for someone on the staff to help them. So you will stand there in line, 1 item in hand, and wait 15-20 minutes while the person in front of you is waiting for a Wal-Mart employee to come and tell them what's wrong.



Avoid unless you're broke and need the low prices.
